FEDEX GROUND DISTRIBUTION FACILITY BAY COUNTY 
 

Gortemoller Engineering, Inc. served as the Prime Design Firm providing professional engineering services for the 60,000 SF office and distribution center for FedEx Ground Facility. The design and permitting approval required extensive coordination with the City of Panama City, Florida Department of Environmental (FDEP), and the Panama City Port Authority. The design also included stormwater management, potable water/fire line and sewer lateral system.

GE also provided services for a new traffic signal located at the intersection of Penny Road/Commerce Boulevard and SR 75 (US 231). During the design process, GE coordinated with the Port of Panama City and FDOT Traffic Operations. The Port of Panama City requested FDOT to install the signal under their Districtwide Contract which saved our client over $150,000 for the signal.
